July 28

I am having trouble making up a workout for Thursday. I am on a holding pattern with Melton so we can get on the Travis Tower Friday. I really want to get this done soon so we can get our passes and be able to use the shit out of that Tower.

I truly believe we have the Raw Talent and potential to lay down the best 5 times for a team. Thats why I try to put all this stuff out there for you guys. Practice, practice, practice, work, work, work, then having a mind that does not let pain get to it.

I ran a 1:41 the first time on the course, it was not for any other reason that I put a lot of effort into it prior to that. So after that I put all my effort into training for our hometown event in Fremont, I was having an even faster run and fell on the dummy at 1:12, ended with a 2 something. I put hours into it leading up to that, studied the best guys, learned from the guys who had been doing it, became obsessed. In worlds that year I finished with a 1:34, I put it all out there, left nothing, trained super hard. The new guy from Omaha just ran a 1:41 on his second ever run. He practices with Woolery all the time. I practice by myself 80% of the time.

The reason I am saying all this is not to brag, but to tell you that you have a lot of experience to pull from, FROM YOUR TEAM. If its important to you, make it happen, watch all the video you can, practice your technique(nothing motivates you to want to learn more than practicing, but you got to make it happen). If this is something you want to do to get a better body and get in shape. Sweet. But you will be getting in the guys way who wants to win and train to win. We have a lot of guys and not a lot of equipment, we can work around it if you want train like Champions Train, together...........

There is a Gym in Ohio called Eastside Barbell, they are a powerlifting gym. They produce the strongest people in the country(yes they all use steriods, but so does every other powerlifter so its an even playing field). There are also a lot of Gyms that run the same system, rep schemes and exercises. If everyone is doing the same thing why are all the strongest guys coming from 1 place. I have talked to guys who worked out there and were helpers in the gym. The same thing was said. "You walk in the door there and its all about winning and all about business." So its the attitude that breeds the success. There is no fucking around.

Fellas I know the obsticles we face in order to train together. I know I don't have kids and other shit going on. But somehow we have to find a way.

Here are some key points that will help you(I like bullet points)
-Make the Team your priority
-Come ready to work and get out
-When its time to go all out, get the fuck after it
-make the time to practice all the technical stuff on your own, so when we are together we can bust each others ass
-This last point is the most important because it covers everything

TRAIN TO WIN
