Integration of Course Time & Scenarios For a World Championship

I am going to try and explain why I have been putting pressure on you guys to get down to the tower together and train. There is a reason, I will try to explain.

#1
The Goal is a World Title
In order for that to happen this needs to Happen
3 Times in the Sub 90 range, with an average of 1:28(prediction)
Sub 90s are really hard to get, if you have not gotten one you don't know how hard they are

#2
I am assuming myself, Castillo and Dimick will be in the running for our 3 sub 90s
BUT what if one of us falls, then what is our #4 time going to be
2 sub 90s and a 145 will not get us in the top ten

#3
You don't know what your final run time is going to be, any of us. What if you were on pace for a SUB 100 but you fucked something stupid up? What if we lost the championship by 2 seconds because your dummy drag is slow? Your transitions suck? you placed the hammer off the mat? Your legs gave out on the hose advance and you had to walk?

#4 How would you feel if you did not prepare and we lost because of you?

#5 Don't impose self restricting goals on yourself. Maybe you are better than you think you are. If your goals are to easy you are not pushing yourself. Don't be just behind me if you are better than me, push past what you think you can do

If certain things are not ingrained in you(fast transitions, perfect hoist, stair descent, fast hose and dummy pick ups) you are leaving things to chance. Its a lot of work, sweat, pain, time, effort and energy just leave it to chance. The more reps you perform the more you put chance on someone else. There is always opportunity things will go wrong no matter how you practice, thats called sports and life.

THIS IS IMPORTANT DON"T STOP READING YET

There is a curve with this sport. There is good news and bad news about this curve. Newer guys will get greater gains out of running full courses than veterans. Good news, if you are new there is a great opportunity for you to get relatively quick gains. Bad news is you have to run the course.

So if you are new now is the time to mimick the course once a week, sometimes 2. Then you will get to a point where you need to back off on the full courses and work halfs, transitions and technique more.

So for me I am going to hit a comp 1 time per month till worlds. That will be it for the full run. If you are new and not doing at least that you will drop a big fat turd at worlds. So if you are new do a full run through 1 time a week through August.

Cant find anyone to train with?
We made a new back half coming out of the shed. Its not perfect but you can set it up yourself easily. There is a hose advance that does not require water and the Kaiser will stay where its at. It is where its at so you can set up quickly run your shit and get out. I hope this is more convenient for you. There is also a new hose pickup Prop.

I will post a video to youtube showing what we did for our course simulation today
